In a world of smoke and superstition, the dead rise the only answer runs in veins of iron.

In Veins of Iron, Europe is choking on soot, steel, and superstition until a string of ritual killings ignites something far worse than panic. You play Viktor Eisenhart, a WWI survivor, marked by wounds that never truly healed, pulled from a blood-soaked home into a city where apostatemonks stalk the streets, once servants of God, now devotees of something older, hungrier, and unnamed. The dead refuse to stay buried.

Tracking the trail leads you through plague-lit alleys, factories, manors, catacombs, and fortified ruins. Each location hiding secrets, keys, and forbidden machinery that shouldn’t exist. The deeper you go, the clearer it becomes: this isn’t a simple murder spree, it’s an industrial rite meant to awaken a power sealed beneath the old world. Stop the cult, survive the horrors, and decide what you’re willing to become when iron and faith collide.

We need your help

We’re building Veins of Iron: a totally new IP, rendered in real-´time 3D on the SNES, drenched in gothic-industrial horror. Kickstarter support goes directly toward polishing the game, creating more content, and producing physical cartridges and collector rewards.

The Kickstarter will launch soon, sign up for our newsletter so you don’t miss out.

About us

ModeVII builds games that shouldn’t exist anymore. We work close to the metal, pushing classic hardware and modern tools to their limits. No excess, no compromise, just focused design, tight performance, and atmosphere that stays with you. (And yes, we probably care a bit too much about cycle counts). Our goal is simple, create games that feel timeless. Or to put differently, we make games that would have scored 10/10 back in the day and still deserve it now.

Want the good rumors first? Join our list and we’ll send occasional Veins of Iron updates, new media, dev logs, reveals, and strange transmissions from places the cult swear don’t exist. It’s the easiest way to know when big things drop (and when the dead start getting loud).

We promise: no spam, no shady stuff, and we won’t share your info. Unsubscribe anytime, it’s quick, painless, and fully reversible (unlike body organ replacement rituals).
